Who we are

Home Basket by Aduke ("we", "us") runs the shop at homebasketng.com. We sell groceries and food essentials in Lagos. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

Your name, email address and phone number.
Your delivery address and any delivery notes you give us.
Your order history.
Payment status and the payment reference from Paystack. We never see or store your full card details. Paystack handles those.
Basic technical data. When you send a custom bundle request, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to limit spam. Your browser also stores your cart and your sign-in session.
We remember what you browse and add to your basket on this device to suggest products. It stays in your browser; clearing your browser data removes it.

We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

Why we use it

To process and deliver your orders.
To contact you about your orders, by phone, WhatsApp or email.
To send order emails, such as your receipt or a notice that a payment failed.
To prevent fraud and spam.
To meet our legal and accounting duties.

We don't currently send marketing emails. If that changes, we will only send them to people who opt in.

Who we share it with

We use a few trusted services to run the shop. They handle your data only to do this work for us:

Paystack, for payments.
Supabase, for our database, sign-in and image storage.
Resend, for sending order emails.
Vercel, for hosting the website.

We don't sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for accounting and tax, typically up to 6 years. We keep your account data until you ask us to delete your account.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email us at homebasketbyaduke@gmail.com.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Children

The shop is for adults (18 and over) placing orders.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
